The value of 309.6

While my wife grammar checked my previous blog she asked "where does value 309.6 come from?"

The short answer is: I don't know.

Martin Armstrong has come up with this value in his blog and didn't go into details, so I can't tell his deeper reasoning. If you are interested you can always contact him and ask. His staff is very active and replied to me on the same day when I asked permission to refer to his research.

Indeed, one of the purposes of my blog is either to prove or disprove his theory about religion cycle and cycles generally (yes, religion cycle is only the first cycle I will dig into), that humanity's religious and other values change in forecastable cycles.

The long answer is: I can speculate.

Martin didn't come only up with value 309.6, but also value 212 which is the final peak of the religion cycle. Again I don't know how he reached this conclusion, I am here only observing and repeating.

From his blog:

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/religion/the-decline-fall-of-religion/

It is rather stunning how we come to major religious events every 309.6 years. This appears to be a change in beliefs that do not necessarily suggest complete changes in religions. Often these are shifts that become more fundamentalist in their beliefs or a turn toward liberalism.

And,

The peak of that cycle arrives 212 years from the beginning.

However, what I did come up with my own were the setback and golden age dates. By dividing 309.6/2 we get a value of 154.8. This is half of the cycle and the golden age. By deducting 212-154.8 we got a value of 57.2 which is the setback.

To repeat, the length of the cycle is 309.6, and the cycle is:

0 – end of the cycle and beginning of the new cycle,

      57.2 – setback,

      154.8 – golden age,

      212 – final peak,

309.6 – end of the cycle and beginning of the new cycle.

I must admit to myself I am quite satisfied with discovering setback and golden age. Now a smart reader has realized there is not only one cycle but two which both have the same 309.6 duration. The cycle starts at year 0 and has it's halfway during the golden age. The second cycle begins at year 57.2 and has it's halfway at the final peak.

Why is that you ask? I don't know. What I can say with clarity is that the same phenomenon repeats in every cycle. Our golden age was in 2015.5, and as you can witness today's current order is all down from there.

But Martin continues;

There are two primary cycles. First we can look at the cycle of change in religion which seems to follow the 309.6 year cycle which is, of course, the 8.6-year frequency. The second is to look at the derivative of the 8.6-year which produces a target for a major collapse in religion, which is underway at this time, by 2033.

Martin who has researched cycles for most of his life seems to know more than he reveals, but this should be expected when you have researched for decades. Perhaps what I have discovered is something he already knows and is very familiar with, but for reason or another has not written down.

Anyway, by multiplying 8.6 by 7 we got 60.2 which is very close to my 57.2. And of course, 154.8 is done by multiplying 8.6 by 18. A total cycle of 309.6 has 36 waves at a frequency of 8.6.

Hey but you say! Say where does value 309.6 come from?

Martin himself hasn't given an answer for that (and if he has it is buried in his blog, it is pretty massive). What he has suggested multiple times is that the sun has a 300-year period and therefore our change in religious behavior is tied to solar activity.

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/climate/is-climate-change-cause-only-by-the-sun/

There is a 300-year cycle in the energy output of the sun. But solar minimum changes the output to greater intensity of gamma rays. This may be responsible for the increase in volcanic activity during solar minimum. What is clear is that it has been the volcanic activity that has caused the major declines in temperature, which have resulted in famines and drastic weather changes such as the year without a summer.

The activity of the sun is known to be connected to the aurora borealis, earthquakes, volcanic activity, and many other natural phenomenons, and there is plenty of scientific research supporting these theories. Then there was Soviet scientist Alexander Chizhevsky who connected the sun's peak activity to human mass movements and was purged by Stalin. Ignorance is strength. Fortunately, we have his paper “physical factors of the historical process” available in English. You can search and download it quite easily.

Sun itself switches its polarity every 11 years. Unfortunately for us forecasters, in reality, this change of polarity is quite random and unpredictable. It can take long as 17 years and short as 7 years. Earth itself has a leap year every 28 years, and multiplying 11 by 28 we get value 308 which is suspiciously close to 309.6. Quite nice coincide indeed but by no mean a piece of evidence, this is multifield scientific research and the only thing I am good at is browsing and filtering a large amount of historical data. Perhaps someone talented in cosmology can explain the cycles better in the future.

Sadly, I cannot give a final word about what is the cause behind the religion cycle, there is so much to be discovered and this is a major factor motivating me to push forward on my research.

If you find the idea absurd that celestial bodies are and can manipulate our minds and bodies I recommend you to talk to any female and ask what is the length of the menstrual cycle – it is the same as one lunar cycle (a month in layman's terms and there are twelve total in a year). Then of course there is the sleeping cycle: we need to sleep roughly 8 hours every day. Not sleeping enough, not sleeping at all, or sleeping irregularly has both serious mental and physical effects.

Welcome to the world of cycles where we all live in.
